What Is The Rapid COVID-19 Molecular NAAT Test? The Rapid COVID-19 Molecular NAAT test that we at Covid Clinic, Inc. have been approved to administer to patients was designed to detect the virus that causes COVID-19 in respiratory specimens, including nasal or oral swabs. The results of this test are usually reported within 20 minutes of retrieving the sample. This test has a specificity rate greater than or equal to 98.6% and a sensitivity rate greater than or equal to 94.7%. Now, you are probably wondering what to expect when you go to have this test done right? First off, the tip of a cotton swab is inserted into both of the nostrils. Unlike other COVID-19 tests out there, the cotton swab for our Rapid COVID-19 Molecular NAAT test doesn’t need to be inserted far, just until the cotton swab is no longer visible to the administrator of the test. Once inside the nostril, the cotton swab is rotated in a circle around the entire inside edge of each nostril, and must complete at least three full rotations before the test is complete. Once the sample is retrieved, the patient will typically have their results within 20 minutes. This test is great for those that are traveling and need to be tested before arriving at a destination. Potential Risks:
