COVID-19 Tests Available At This Location
COVID clinic provides a no-cost-to-patient diagnostic COVID-19 PCR test for eligible insured, uninsured, and undocumented patients. The diagnostic PCR test should not be used for travel testing. Each patient’s eligibility to receive a diagnostic COVID-19 PCR test will be determined by a physician depending on each patient’s responses to medical screening questions.
When patients pay out-of-pocket for testing, they may be able to receive reimbursement from their health insurance provider for all or a portion of their COVID-19 test. Patients are invited to contact their insurance provider for additional information as to whether they may be eligible to receive reimbursement for a self-pay COVID-19 test and how to apply for reimbursement from their insurance provider.
Rapid COVID-19 IgG/IgM Antibody Test
This test results will arrive by the end of 2 days.
This test is used to detect COVID-19 antibodies. A positive antibody test result suggests the patient was recently infected by COVID-19 or has developed an immune response through vaccination.
Results are generally reported within 1 hour at most locations.
**This DOESN’T test for a current Covid-19 infection**
The Assure COVID-19 IgG/IgM Rapid Test Device, a test for the qualitative detection and differentiation of IgM and IgG antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 (often referred to as COVID-19 or the novel coronavirus) in human venous whole blood (sodium EDTA), serum, plasma (sodium EDTA) and fingerstick whole blood.
The Assure COVID-19 IgG/IgM Rapid Test Device is intended for use as an aid in identifying individuals with an adaptive immune response to SARS-CoV-2, indicating recent or prior infection. At this time, it is unknown for how long antibodies persist following infection and if the presence of antibodies confers protective immunity
Questions & Answers
IS THE TEST COVERED BY INSURANCE?
Under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, patients are entitled to reimbursement for the cost of COVID testing. While testing may require an out-of-pocket cost, we encourage patients to seek
reimbursement by their insurance companies by forwarding the order invoice that includes diagnosis code, CPT test codes, and tax ID number. A paid invoice can be sent to the patient’s insurance company’s claims department which will determine eligibility for coverage.
WHY DO YOU CHARGE FOR TESTING?
We believe that a patient should be able to test whenever they want, with or without insurance. Many of our patients have been successful in paying for testing and then submitting their invoice to their insurance company for reimbursement. If you cannot afford testing, please fill out our Scholarship Application form for a no-cost test! Scholarships are available each day, based on need. These scholarships are not for same day use, as applications are reviewed each evening after the 7:00pm cutoff time.
